Outer Canvas

12/15 oz  Proofed Cotton Canvas... 1996, Water-resistance BS.3408:1992, Rot-Resistance DEF STAN 68-14 (This is our Standard Canvas)

Fire retardant treatment is also available – FWR - Flame Retardancy BS.7837:

 

 

Detailing

Reinforced with addtional canvas to areas to withstand extra stress on these parts

Double-stitched seams and hand sewn lacing pin holes

Sioux-style smoke flaps with reinforced Pole Pockets to top corner and cord extensions to bottom corner

Inner Liner

Cotton Canvas Inner Liner with PVC 'Skirt' either in two or three section ( to ease fitting) integral ties to top edge for tying to liner rope and loops to bottom edge to ease 'fitting'

 

Poles

Our Poles are Norway Spruce (mostly with sometimes some Cedar) which we source locally to ourselves .The number you receive depends on the size of the Tipi ordered but would include Smoke Flap poles also.

Sisal Rope for Lashing Poles and Hanging Liner  (Sisal rope is made from a hard natural fibre. It has excellent resistance to sunlight, little stretch and good knot-holding ability.)
